FOUNDER’S REPORT: Roy reported that the 20th anniversary tours met the objectives. About two thousand members participated either by hosting or attending the tour stops. Iterest for the NAMM Grant Fellowships has come from Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Kenya, India, Finland, Spain, South Africa, and Greece. DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: Barbara led a discussion on fundraising. Some of the possible projects that were brought up are: bringing directors to camps, support research for NHIMA, establish endowment and/or Foundation fund for sustainability, and focus on establishing new organizations. This topic will continue to be discussed. The board discussed the idea of using permanent e-mail addresses, so that as board members change, e-mail can still be received by the correct persons. The board will discuss this further with John Morgan at the annual meeting. Dick reported that NAMM continues to allow two members from grant recipients to participate at the annual NAMM show in Anaheim, CA in January 2012. Great music and beautiful weather were enjoyed by all. The NAMM Internationalizing Grant was renewed for 2012. The contractor treasurer could, at his/her discretion, participate in Board meetings. With the exception of being on the Board or being required to attend Board meetings, the contractor treasurer would assume all of the functions and responsibilities of the current Board treasurer. The Board is continuing to explore information about offering a 2012 New Horizons European Cruise.
