There are many instruments to choose from if playing in a Concert Band, Symphony Orchestra or Jazz Band. This page gives you a look at most of the instruments commonly found in today’s bands, orchestras and jazz ensembles. As you look at each instrument, a short audio clip will play. The control panel buttons are explained below the picture viewing area.

Control Panel Navigation: The square with the smaller square inside displays the albums (only one in this case). The four dots icon shows all of the instruments in thumbnail view, and you can go directly to any instrument you like by clicking on the appropriate thumbnail. You can mute the audio by pressing the speaker icon. Press it again to hear the audio. The right and left arrows take you forward or backward. In between the two arrows, you will have either a play button or a pause button. If playing, the pause button will be available; if paused, the play button will be available.
The information following the instrument name is: the common key of the instrument, what clef it usually plays in, and the type of groups where you will see this instrument (C = Concert Band, M = Military Band, S = Symphony Orchestra, J = Jazz Band).
