York Master Professional Tenor Trombone, SN 158XXX, 1950s made in Grand Rapids. 7 1/2" bell. I am the original owner, bought the horn as new old stock in a music store in Tucson. Unplayed condition, the slide has never been broken in. Original french style case. The dent-free bell has minor scratches from careless handling (loose slide in the case) by the store over its long life there. Flared brace ends and a 1" tone ring similar to Olds Supers. “Chordially Yours” is an interview with Roy Ernst, founder of the New Horizons Program. It is one hour in length, edited from an entire day of interviewing. Roy talks about his school days and early music experiences. He also talks about his early career and his time at the Eastman School of Music. Of special interest to those involved in New Horizons is the description of his original idea for a band for retired people and how his philosophy has grown into an international program.
