[Note: In order to have a New Horizons Music Camp or Workshop posted to the NHIMA web site, the hosting organization must be a group member of NHIMA. In addition, a discount must be offered to NHIMA members who attend.
Please also note that if you are planning to host a New Horizons Music Camp or Workshop and you have not previously hosted such an activity, the NHIMA Board of Directors will be happy to review your plans and offer assistance and support to assure a successful and positive experience.

~~~~~ 2009 ~~~~~
The 3rd Annual Carolina Band Blast is held in conjunction with the Gate City Horizons Band, Winston-Salem New Horizon Band, the Eastern Music Festival, and The Music Center, City Arts. The event will be held from Friday July 17, 2009 through Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Greensboro Cultural Center in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. The Band Blast Ensemble will be conducted by world renowned conductor and educator and current conductor of the Greensboro and Winston-Salem New Horizons Bands, Peter Perret. The weekend includes rehearsals, sectionals with Music Center and Eastern Music Festival Faculty, concerts held by the Eastern Music Festival, a final performance by Band Blast participants on Sunday, July 19th and more! This is guaranteed to be a great musical experience for all!

The beautiful shores of Lake Michigan and the Door County Peninsula of Wisconsin are the setting for Bailey’s Harbor Music Camp, sponsored by the New Horizons Band of Madison. Bailey’s Harbor is an intense 48 hours of rehearsals and small group sessions, with over 100 participants from the US and Canada. Our directors for 2009 are Glenn Nielsen and Peter Ziegler from Madison, Sally Bowers from Illinois, and “Van” Vander Ark from California. Join with other band and orchestra musicians to play music and enjoy leisure time in a beautiful setting. The camp

The Prime Time Band of Santa Barbara, California, is sponsoring a band camp at the lovely Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, California, March 14-19, 2010.
Registrations are now being accepted. Limited to 100 participants, the camp will offer the opportunity to learn new music under the direction of three conductors, meet other musicians from around the country, and enjoy the beauty of the central California coast. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome.
